Now that tryouts are over we’d like to welcome our returning and new players. Let’s get training shall we?!
Our first week of summer training camps begins June 11. Boo Tinling will be running the camps this year and will be a great opportunity for the kids to get into the season.
A little about Boo (her real name Bethany but she might not answer to that in a crowded room). Boo grew up in Utah and played youth soccer for the Firebirds who, in her time, were perennial state championship challengers. She played high school soccer at West High and was recruited by the U of U, Cal, and San Diego State, eventually choosing the Aztecs. She played 4 years with SDSU at the D1 level then, with a 5th year of eligibility for another sport, walked on to the basketball team only to have a back injury not allowing her to play.
Boo loves to coach and teach the game. She is passionate about youth sports generally and youth soccer in particular. She understands the technical and tactical aspects of the game in the way that comes from playing for a long time at a high level. She will be an awesome coach and mentor for the CFC kids during these camp sessions.
Please check your training time. If you are unable to make your assigned slot please let your team manager know.
